Something very odd happened to me last weekend whilst checking out Andy Moor's dj skills at Vision. Clubs are not just about drinking, dancing, and people who experiment with recreational drugs. No, there are several business opportunities that arise in this andrenline packed, throbbing atmosphere.

I was there, main floor, merrily dancing the night away with a friend. Music was gorgeous, heart-rate was pulsing fast, I was enjoying myself immensely.

A woman approached us and steered me away from my friend towards the bar. She looked nice enough and I was curious as to what she wanted with me. I could barely hear what she said due to the speakers above us. I did see she took out two business cards and glided them over the bartop to me.

At this moment I was annoyed. I wanted the exchange to end as the music was lifting up and I wanted to race back to the dancefloor and enjoy it. I told her "Thank you" and shoved the cards into my purse without looking at them. I'm sure she said something else but I can't remember what it was. Back to my friend I went and continued to have a great night.

The next morning whilst looking through the remants of my purse I found the two business cards hastily thrown in the night before. After closer inspection I discovered the reason the woman had pulled me over.

She was asking me to donate my ovaries. I stood for a few minutes with my mouth open in shock. I understand the opportunities available in clubs but I certainly didn't expect this to be one of them! Needless to say I won't be getting in contact with her...would be very erie to see my child running around and I didn't even give birth to it! Come to think of it...maybe that's not so bad?

Still, no donation from me. But it's flattering of her to ask.

Timo

Talk about having a wicked time! Went to see Timo Maas 29.12.06 with some mates and it was excellent. Everyone was in a great mood and some serious dancing was about to take place. New Year's went alright as well. I ended up at the Congress Theatre to see ATB. The music was amazing. As for my new year's resolutions...that's not off to a great start! Are they ever, really, though?

The weather here in Chicago is freakish for January. New year's eve it was a staggering 55 degrees (around 13 C). January's weather is more like April. What is going on with the world! Maybe global warming will start to be taken seriously now. The Kyoto Protocol doesn't bloody begin until 2012!
I have a feeling 2007 is going to be good, though, despite the crazy weather! Below is a photo of Dena, me, and Tressa at Timo.
