Turkey!

The big turkey day was last week and I am still sifting through the leftovers. There's something so comforting about turkey. Makes me sleepy and warm. And incredibly lazy. I'm not sure how people can get so effing shopping crazy the day afterwards when we are packed to the gills with carbs and bird. I do turn over every few hours to avoid bedsores. But otherwise I'm staying put on the couch with either-

a) movies
b) turkey
c) chocolate
d) pumpkin pie
e) turkey sandwiches
f) laptop
g) blankets
h) turkey, turkey, turkey!!

Gah! Lookit what this tasty gobbling beast does to me! I'm a crazed American on her way to the inevitable obesity that awaits each and every one of us in this country. Gimme the damn turkey. I need nothing else.

*cuddling bird meat*

I thought you were a Vegetarian? You finally know what you were missing out yea?
To Whoever converted you... Good Job!
Try dating a Vegan/Vegetarian. Weight loss and headaches inevitable. Well that doesn't sound to bad to most, but trust me it's not worth it.ha ha

Anonymous- Um. It's a little creepy that you know this and I don't know who you are. Haven't been veg for almost a couple of years now...bird meat is too tasty for its own good.

The best meat I ever had was a deep fried turkey in Maryland... absolutely fantatic.

Oh, we do tend to over eat on our holiday feasts.
Luckily Xmas in Australia is summer time---prawns, crayfish, oysters-----ah, but that is dinner after the turkey lunch

Brom- I've never had deep fried turkey and I have to say, I'm a little ashamed of myself. I vow to go out and get a greasy plate of it somewhere in Chicago. Mmm, dripping fried turkey. *drool*

Clyde- Ah, yes. Xmas time in Oz. I dearly miss the seafood down there, especially at this time of year. My friends and I were quite fond of chili mussels. Turkey, however...is on a whole different level.

By the way, so jealous of your warm temps right now.

My God, who would deep fry a turkey---can anyone in the US spell cholesterol-----
Ah chilli mussels---you should try chilli mud crabs.
Hey, the weather isn't the warmest this year but still good enough to have me on the beach every day with my dog

Don't you know by now that America is doomed to collapse in on itself with its own greed and fatness? This is why I leave the place so much so I can gain a sense of normality before having to trudge back here. The only thing is...it all tastes so good. I feel a bit dirty afterwards, though.

Hmm...chili mud crabs. I have to admit that doesn't sound as appetizing as chili mussels but if I can go for a deep fried turkey, I'll give mud crabs a go. ;)

I'll guarantee that if you try chilli mud crab you wont go back to deep fried turkey----
Hey, I like that---I feel a bit dirty afterwards---ha
